Hanakago Antiques,
located in Boulder, Colorado, is a gallery specializing
in Japanese furniture, screen paintings, baskets, metalwork,
lacquerware, netsuke, ceramics, textiles and folk art.
The gallery is owned
and operated by Anita Meyer whose passionate appreciation
of the rich diversity of Japanese art began in Tokyo
15 years ago with a curiosity about traditional Japan.
This interest developed into a deeper understanding
and admiration of Japan's rich material culture.
Various pieces from
the gallery, which have been personally selected on
trips to Japan, are on view. Each item has been specially
chosen with attention to materials, craftsmanship and
design.
