| This is one of a pair of hanging lacquer and paper lanterns crafted in 1924. Traditionally, these were used when a shrine had a festival. Families who were members of the shrine would hang the lanterns in front of their home. These are decorated in high relief gold lacquer with the falcon feather family crest. Each is stored in its original signed storage box. The artist is Tanimoto Yosuke. Very good condition. Height: 37” Diameter: 7” | |||||||||||||
