| This traditional moon-formed ikebana basket’s strong presence is a result of the use of narrow, layered strips of bamboo that have been loosely woven in a wave-like pattern throughout the body. The oval-shaped opening is designed to mirror that of the bottom. Crosspieces of bamboo root add a dimensional contrast. Early to mid-1900’s. Minor damage to the rim around the bottom.
