Japanese Kamakura-Bori Lacquer Plate
This early to mid-1900’s lacquer plate carved in the form of a peach represents the well known lacquering technique from Kamakura, where after the piece is carved, black lacquer serves as an undercoat for top coats of vermilion lacquer. It is in excellent condition with the artist’s seal on the back. It comes in the original signed box. Diameter: 11” Height: 1”
