| This early to mid-1900’s sculptural ikebana basket takes the form of a Japanese lantern. The hexagonal base is supported by bamboo-root stalks with bamboo root incorporated into the rim and handle. Intricately woven rattan knots and stitches provide strength, attach elements and serve as an important decorative accent. Illegible signature on the bottom.
