| Auspicious figures were often used as shapes for saving boxes in Japan. Good-luck images, such as Daruma, Daikoku (god of wealth) and Ebisu (god of commerce) were common. This mid-1900’s heavy clay bank is shaped as Daruma with facial features of Daikoku. There is an old repair across the back. Dimensions: 5 ½” x 3” (across the bottom) | ||||||||
