| This style of Seto-ware was a standard utilitarian product of various kilns at Seto in the late 18th and 19th centuries. The tightly drawn swift circles date this piece to mid-Edo. The surface marks are the result of small tsuchi dango, or clay pellets, used to separate the stacked plates when being fired. It is slightly irregular in shape. Good condition except for old inner and outer rim chips and normal firing irregularities. Diameter: 13” | ||||||||
