| This early to mid-1800’s hanging bamboo container is fashioned from a piece of bamboo with a copper liner. The artist, Ohashi Shuji (1795-1857), was born near Nagoya. He studied to become a doctor and later became accomplished in tea ceremony. This piece reflects that sensibility with stylized kanji decorating the sides. Height: 19” Diameter: 2” | |||||||||||
