| This late 1800’s two-panel screen consists of wood panels depicting seated poets with their clothing appliquéd in silk on a gold sprinkled ground. On the back is a fan painting of a chrysanthemum, peony and butterfly design. The other contains overlapping fans with a toy warrior scene. It is mounted in a black and gold lacquer frame.
