This red and black fukuro obi is decorated with traditional paulownia and chrysanthemum family crests and embellished with gold and silver metallic threads. The lining is a solid black. Subtle staining on the cream part of the paulownia flowers visible in the photos.

This fukuro obi is decorated with a combination of roses and the tortoise shell motif or family crest. The dominant colors are red, black and cream with gold and silver metallic threads. The back is solid black. Very good condition.

This maru obi is decorated with stylized knots and pine in green, silver and gold threads. Good condition with minor wear along the seams.

This fukuro obi is decorated with a stylized flower inside overlapping circles in a leaf pattern. The dominant colors are tones of red with embellishments of gold and silver metallic threads. The back is solid red. Very good condition.

This fukuro obi is decorated with roses and stylized mums. The dominant colors are red, blue and peach with embellishments of gold and silver metallic threads. The back is solid black. Some slight stains visible on the blue flowers.

This exquisite mid-1900’s obi is decorated with three pairs of finely stitched mandarin ducks floating on water. A single duck decorates one end. It is difficult to capture in photos the depth, subtle gradations in color and sheen that was created with the selection of metallic threads. The back is solid black. Excellent condition.

A stylized floral and leaf design dominates this maru-obi. The vivid green background is embellished with gold and silver metallic threads. Mid-1900’s. A few loose threads and subtle wear along the seams and folded side.

This deep teal silk obi is decorated with a repeated hemp design using gold threads. The lining is done in brown silk with a phoenix pattern. Good overall condition with some missing threads and wear along the seams.
