This early to mid-1900’s Karatsu style chawan or tea bowl has a wonderful thick frothy ash glaze spilling over a deep iron glazed base. The artist's seal is stamped on the bottom. There is a small kiln chip on the rim.

This early to mid-1900’s ikebana basket is distinctly Japanese with its rich nemagaridake bamboo, organic form and irregular weave. Reflecting sensitivity to nature and design, this artist integrated bamboo root into the body and vine around the rim. It has a copper liner. Excellent condition.

This is one of a pair of lacquer and paper portable lanterns. They are dated 1897. The family crest Takahashi is printed on the front and back. Good condition with wear associated with age. They come with the original signed tomobako.
